Identified - Microsoft is discontinuing the M365 A1 Plus license, and some users are being transitioned from the M365 A1 "Plus" license to the M365 A1 license. This results in a loss of access to the desktop version of Office 365 applications, but all users should still be able to use the web-based apps at https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps/ (requires UA login).
This change affects Crafts & Trades staff, Adjunct/Temporary Faculty, and Emeritus Faculty members. If you're not a member of these groups and are experiencing issues with the Microsoft Office suite, please reach out to your campus's IT helpdesk!
Due to the longstanding nature of this change and resulting disruption, we will be updating this status only as new information becomes available. We are actively communicating with UAA about the situation, and appreciate your time and understanding as we navigate this unexpected transition. Thank you!

The security certificates for NON PROD Banner related web applications authenticating through the University's SSO system will have security certificates updated to avoid the pending expiration of the currently used ones. During this update, we are expecting that end users will not be able to login to the service until the the service has the new certificate configured.

On May 29th, OIT Network Operations will be upgrading network hardware in the Murie building. The change will impact both the wired and the wireless network for the duration of the outage. We will have one building-wide network outage when we replace the basement core L3 switch, and two other outages, isolated to the 2nd and 3rd floors, when we are ready to replace our network devices in the communication closets on those floors.

Implement UNC path hardening for the SYSVOL and NETLOGON shares across UA Active Directory domains by creating and applying a domain-wide Group Policy Object.
This change requires mutual authentication and integrity validation for UNC access to SYSVOL and NETLOGON. UNC hardening mitigates man-in-the-middle attacks on SMB network shares by requiring mutual authentication and data integrity for specifically defined paths. It helps protect against spoofing and tampering by ensuring clients connect only to legitimate domain servers.
This is a security hardening change with no planned service outage.

Update -
There are still some users currently experiencing issues with the UAOnline Employee Login. The EAS team is continuing to work with the vendor, Ellucian, towards a permeant fix.
For users experiencing issues, there is a workaround. If getting an error stating that the "MEP code is invalid", simply change the "UAA" in the url of the page displaying the error to either "UAF" or "UAS". Once logged into UAOnline, you should be able to log out and use the Employee Login option without issue. If the issue persists, please contact the NTS Service Desk.
We will make updates on this situation at the start of the business day 8:00am and as new information becomes available. Thank you for your patience during the resolution of this issue!

We have received reports that UAOnline Employee Login is currently experiencing issues. The OIT Enterprise Applications (EAS) team is aware and has identified the cause. This issue appears to be related to an update to Banner over the weekend that is causing issues for some users. EAS is currently working with the vendor, Ellucian towards a permeant fix.

This change will enable the following tools in Kaltura Application Framework (KAF) LTI for LMS PROD instances (KPC and UAA Blackboard, UAF Canvas).
Kaltura REACH - provides “machine caption and enrich services” on media
Media Stitching - allows multiple media entries (up to five) to be combined into one.
These tools are currently only available to users through Kaltura MediaSpace portals. This will help give parity of tools between Kaltura Media Space, and Kaltura LTI for LMS.
Note: Changes are made in the LMS instance KAF settings, no changes will be made in Blackboard or Canvas
